The Louis Riel School Division would like to congratulate Mia Guenther, Assistant Superintendent of Staff Services, on her appointment as Superintendent and CEO of Prairie Rose School Division.
Mia joined LRSD in May 2024 as a Divisional Principal before moving into the role of Acting Assistant Superintendent in April 2025.
Throughout her time with the Division, Mia has been an advocate for staff and student well-being. She has played a key role in advancing trauma-informed practices through Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in Schools (TCIS), supporting professional learning, and creating opportunities for staff growth and leadership development.
Her collaborative approach and commitment to building positive, supportive learning and working environments have had a meaningful impact across the Division.
Mia's last day with LRSD will be on December 3, 2026. While we will miss Mia's leadership, we are excited for her as she embarks on this new opportunity for personal and professional growth.
